EDIT 3/5/16: We filled this blog up, and can’t post pics here anymore …

Mom and Lori moved to Arden, North Carolina to live this summer. Mom retired from the Hanover County School System after 21 years and Lori got a new job teaching 3rd grade for Bumcombe County. This is my first time visiting the new house.

Mom and Lori live close to Asheville with lots to do. We went to the Sierra Nevada Brewery (a very very grand version) and Grove Park Inn- built in 1913 with views of the blue ridge parkway.

Grove Park Inn- one of Mom and Lori’s favorite places. I can tell why – the craftsmanship of the place set to the backdrop of the blue ridge mountains is amazing.

The view from the back patio looking out onto the Blue Ridge Mountains…

Inside the lobby is grand with 2 fire places and everything is dressed up for Christmas.

The National Gingerbread House contest is hosted annually at the Grove Park Inn and some of them are houses…
