Road to Hana

The Road to Hana is none better than on a scooter… 140 miles and 10 hours for us from Kihei all the way around paved and unpaved- so. much. fun and amazingly beautiful. It’s hard to describe, but perfect for the small displacement scooters. Tight twisties, lush jungle and then on the east / south side south of Hana- barren -like being on the moon but with turquoise water. I’m pretty sure we blew the fork seals out on the bumpy “non-rental car” dirt – poor paved road south of Hana and  – but had so much fun… Lunch in Hana, shaved ice in Keanae -half way to Hana- and coffee in Nahiku…
