Moon Rocks, Black Rock Desert, Soldier Meadows

We get Good Friday off, like the stock market, ha, so I had an extra day off to head out of town …

My friend Ryan had just visited the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, and posted some wonderful pics, so that’s where I pointed the KLR … Ryan is a real artist with a camera, here is a link to his cool ride report that inspired me to follow his tracks …

Moon Rocks, Nevada …

I have a friend, Kelly, little-wan on ADV, who likes to say things like “make mud your favorite” regarding stuff that scares us or that we may not like to encounter …

For this trip I had to “make I-80 my favorite” because I was leaving after work at 2pm …

Moon Rocks was maybe 280 miles from Reno, so I cruised up the interstate, and it wasn’t too bad after Sacramento … the extra hour of daylight-saving helped …

Big thanks to Ryan for showing me the way! šŸ™‚
