Tetons – super awe inspiring

20140731-083120-30680430.jpg
A thunderstorm was coming and so we stayed just outside of the south entrance of Yellowstone – just north of the Tetons at Flagg Ranch… A campground, lodge, RV village – but had some pretty cool little camper cabins

And surprisingly good food at the lodge… Carrot ginger soup, homemade cornbread, prime rib, grilled vegetables with super awesome reduced aged balsamic vinegar and homemade blueberry pie- wow!

We got off the bikes for a bit and rented a canoe in Jenny Lake!

With enough daylight left, we headed on down to Jackson and then camped near Victor, Idaho at the Wyoming border…

  2. Brings back memories–remember the trip with Mom, John? Especially the one of the bend in the river. (Snake?) We went fishing, caught zip, and bought some fish from the market—Ha

Yes, that trip to Jackson was in my mind many times!
That pic is the outlet to Jenny Lake that I think you, Mom
and Rita Anne went for a hike around … good times … šŸ™‚
The pic with the bikes and river was taken in Idaho, from the west side of the Tetons, looking east … very pretty view of the mountains from the west side, that I’d never seen …
    talk to you soon,
