Slide Ranch …

Slide Ranch is a rare old establishment in that it is on the west side of famously beautiful Route One between Mill Valley and Stinson Beach. The highway usually hugs the coastline, so it is unusual for it to dip around waterfront property …

Cary found a children’s overnight camp-out program there, so we signed up and invited Charley, August Jeanne and Charley John … You can see the ranch and yurt over Charley’s right shoulder …

The kiddies had fun, as did we … it turns out it is pretty unusual to be able to camp at Slide Ranch … we slept well listening to the surf crash on the rocks below our cliff top campsite …
